ive just finished setting up my new acer ES1-512, And was about to make my recovery media through the acer console in windows 8.1, and the program will not open ? i get to the part where it wants me to allow the program to make changes, but then nothing happens ? i have tried going to the file location its self to to start the program but this makes no difference, ive looked all over acers site to see if i can re-download the console but have found nothing?

I was running on battery a few days ago, and let the battery completely discharge and shutdown the comp, so as to take advantage of cleaning the keyboard without having to take out the battery. So I cleaned everything with a moist cloth, and all around including the CineDash thing which is used with Acer Arcade, but I mainly use it to change quickly the volume, which is very convenient (faster than using keyboard or volume mixer). Anyhow, after cleaning and replugging in I found that the CineDash Interface was blocked, the volume is lit up to full strength, and the mute button is lit up as well, and all that gets pretty hot after a while (but I can still have normal volume control with keyboard up/down keys and volume mixer). I don't believe that I put much pressure on that Interface while cleaning it up, but it is definitely blocked, and there is no way of clearing it from device manager or anything listed anywhere on the comp, since it has nothing to do with that, so am wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and what to do about it so that I can use that volume control again, which is speedy and very practical. Perhaps Michelle, you might have a suggestion there with a bit of luck, or anyone who might have had this problem (it also worries me a bit because it gets quite hot after a while)

Recently I developed this simple application that lets you easily configure CineDash and other buttons functions on Acer laptops. This application, “Acer CineDash Config”, is mainly for mine purposes.
I tested it on my Acer 6935G and Windows 7 64bit version. It probably should work on other models and systems to.

i was using vista with dell's webcam console i was able to access the audio effects but now i have upgraded to windows 7 7057 build, when i load up the webcam console i cannot see the audio effects no more, all that i see is video effects.

I was hunting around inside of my Console logs today for something and ran across something peculiar, I've confirmed with a few other people that it is showing up on their computers as well and it seems to be only on Mac OS X 10.5.6.

Lenovo 11e E/Edge :: Cannot Reinstall OS From Recovery Console E545 After Upgrade Win 8 To 8.1

Last month I bought a Lenovo e545. I did an upgrade to windows 8.1 on my new system. After upgrading, I noticed several problems with my drivers and installation of them(Conextant audio driver, Windows location driver). Also none of the Windows 8 games work. So I thought I'd do aÂ sfc /scannow first. There I got the message the system is locked. So I thought to reinstall my backup on the recovery partition. This also said the disk is locked. I tried reInstalling from a home made external USB hard disk with original recovery system, this also won't work. Â This makes all my recovery disks useless so I can not restore my computer if anything goes wrong...
Now the base of the problem might be influenced by one of these factors:
In trying to solve the problem I accidentally downgraded the BIOS from 1.10 to 1.09 (so maybe this infuences the Windows certificates in the BIOS, maybe a technician can tell me if this can happen) and can not find the 1.10 BIOS on the website to be downloaded and upgrade the BIOS again.I added 4 GB crucial RAM (1600)The Windows 8.1 upgrade is a pain in the ass and blocks the possibility somehow to recover the system. I really need to be able to recover the system to preform a clean system install...Â

I have had the laptop for three months.Every time it boots up it I get the message: checking media/media fail.

#1-Can I update that to Windows Media Player 10, OR, Windows Media Player 11?
#2- If yes, which one? (Would 10 be better?)
#3- Or would both, either, of them be too large for this AAO?
#4- If I can update to 10 (or 11), where would the best place to get the download?
#5- Would 10 or 11 OVER-WRITE version 9 (which is now on the AAO)?
#6- Why was such an 'old' version 9 installed on this AAO?
